Choosing your boundaries

Have you spotted any bulbs poking through the ground yet? Little buds on the trees? February is a time for planning ahead -  working out how you’re going to put your 2026 ideas into action. If you’re thinking of introducing more livestock, growing extra crops, or rewilding a section of your site, you’re going to need to consider boundaries and fencing.

There are so many different types of fence that it can be a bit overwhelming to make a final decision on the right one for you and your needs (as well as your budget!). Here at Sunnyfields Fencing we have experience in installing many different types of fences. Below are just a few of the most popular.

  • Stock net fencing is a straightforward and cost effective option, perfect for marking boundaries and containing smaller livestock. If ground conditions are favourable it can be relatively quick to install, which is perfect if you’re wanting to be ready for Spring. Rabbit netting can be added to help exclude small mammals - ideal if the area is for cropping.

  • Post and rail fencing is an attractive and hard wearing choice, providing a durable and secure boundary that is suitable for horses and cattle. Stock net can be used in conjunction with post and rail, making an effective barrier that is sturdy and long-lasting.

  • Deer fencing is quickly becoming one of our most requested fencing types. With an estimated two million deer in the UK, keeping them out of gardens and farmland is increasingly difficult. Our standard deer fencing stands almost two metres tall, and uses incredibly strong specialist deer netting.

Still not sure which is right for you? Contact Sunnyfields Fencing Contractors today to discuss your project, and we’ll be happy to help.
